About Us

Manning Coastcare’s focus is the conservation of the biodiversity of the coastal habitat and wildlife corridor on the mid-north coast of NSW in public lands owned and managed by Mid Coast Council along with Crown Reserves and State Parks between Crowdy Head and Hallidays Point. We are particularly concerned with protecting the littoral rainforests of the area and are a community-based, not-for-profit Incorporated Association made up of member groups and individuals. We also organize field days and workshops on a range of topics.

In addition to the many hours of restoration work undertaken by our volunteers, we also occasionally employ qualified contractors to undertake works, paid for with grant funding. We strive to develop our skills in the control of high priority weeds such as Asparagus weed and Bitou Bush. Our funding is mostly from the State government through Landcare NSW and the Hunter Local Land Services. In 2006 Manning Coastcare was incorporated as Manning Coastcare Group Inc – a not-for-profit legal entity #9885445 under the Associations Incorporation Act of NSW (ABN 73302754263).
