Welcome Mid Coast 2 Tops Landcare Connection (MC2T) represents Landcare on the Mid Coast of NSW. Founded in 2019, we represent the three long-standing Landcare networks of our region, working together to preserve the natural environment of the Mid Coast region, on the lands of the Biripi and Worimi peoples. We help our community take action where it matters most with workshops and field days, funding support, media assistance, and project recognition. MC2T works closely with MidCoast Council, Hunter Local Land Services, Landcare NSW and Landcare Australia Limited to represent our grassroots Landcare community on a Regional, State and Federal level.  We recognise and pay respect to the Traditional owners of the lands we work, the Worimi and Biripi people, and strive to partner with these communities for impactful project development. We value the generations of land management knowledge they hold.

 

What is Landcare?

You have heard the name Landcare, and may have seen the caring hands logo – but what is Landcare? Landcare is about connecting people from all walks of life to do something good for the environment.

Landcare can be best described as a movement of individuals, groups and organisations across Australia with a shared vision to restore, enhance and protect the natural environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities.

Landcare is a collection of not-for profit community organisations, who support the Landcare movement with their important work. Volunteering with Landcare and caring for the environment has a positive impact on the mental and physical health of individuals and the wellbeing of communities.
