The Upper Lansdowne Landcare Group was formed about ten years ago and has regular working bees, usually once a month. Currently we are regenerating a small reserve area near the second Koppin Yarratt bridge. We meet at 8.30am, work for about two hours and then stop for coffee, tea and homemade cakes whilst we discuss what the next tasks might be. Previously we have worked on each others properties using a points system to make it fair. Upper Lansdowne is a beautiful area with a wealth of native species set within valleys around spectacular volcanic outcrops. Landscape typologies in the area range from dry sclerophyll forest, wet sclerophyll forest through to pockets of rainforest.
