Hunter Local Land Services (LLS) and MidCoast Council propose to deliver the 2026 Designing Your Farm Workshop Series, continuing the successful five-session format with an increased focus on hands-on, practical activities. This series will help landholders build resilient farming systems that adapt to climate extremes, improve soil health, manage biodiversity, and enhance farm productivity. The course is tailored to Landholders, farmers, and producers in the region of any land size, with a focus on those looking to improve farm resilience, nutrient management, and infrastructure decisions.
Objectives
· Increase Climate Resilience: Equip landholders with practical tools to adapt to drought, flood, and rising sea levels.
· Improve Nutrient Management: Teach strategies to reduce runoff and maintain soil fertility.
· Enhance Farm Efficiency: Provide actionable steps for infrastructure planning and resource management.
· Hands-On Learning: Incorporate field-based activities to reinforce theory and build confidence.
