Join us for a morning of hands-on conservation work and community building at William Wynter Park! This event is a great opportunity to learn about Landcare in your local area and discover how you can contribute to the health of our environment. We'll be working to remove invasive weeds that are negatively affecting our local waterways and riparian corridors, and improve the local ecosystem.

Event Details:

  • When: May 22nd | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • Where: William Wynter Park, Amaroo Drive, Taree West

  • Morning Tea: A free morning tea will be provided for all participants!

We are looking to start up a local Taree Landcare group again to support our natural environment and beautify the town. Taree Landcare was once a thriving local environmental group with over 30 years of meaningful work achieved in the local area, and we are looking to kickstart and continue their legacy once again. If you are seeking more community connection and a way to give back, come along to get a feel for the work and see if you’d like to be involved in the future!

What to expect:

  • Skill Building: Learn about bush regeneration and how to take care of the land.

  • Plant ID: Gain skills in identifying both native plants and local weeds.

  • Community: Meet like-minded people dedicated to keeping Taree green.

What to bring: Please wear enclosed shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring a water bottle. No prior experience is necessary—everyone is welcome!
