Learn how native bees live, nest and thrive in the Mid Coast region. Join local native bee expert Diane Norris (Bee Wild) for a hands-on workshop series exploring the native bees of the area with a special focus on Tetragonula carbonaria, our local native stingless bee.
With 25+ years' experience and over 100 colonies in her care, Diane will share the basics of bee biology, foraging behaviour and hive care, followed by an on-site visit to see native bees in action.
Brought to you by Mid Coast 2 Tops Landcare, this workshop welcomes Aboriginal Community members and Rangers as well as Landcare/Coastcare volunteers — a chance to learn together and build connection through caring for Country.
