Start a Local Group
|
A Landcare group provides an ideal structure for a concerned group of individuals wanting to get together and do something about an environmental or land management issue they all share. Landcare refers to any community-based group operating in the sphere of sustainable agriculture and natural resource management and includes but is not limited to groups that describe themselves as Landcare, Bushcare, Coastcare, Dunecare, “friends of” groups and producer groups. There are around 3600 such groups in NSW. Local Landcare groups take many forms, from volunteer groups taking action to address a particular local environmental issue through to advocacy and producer groups. Landcare is a grassroots environmental movement and whatever the goals of your local group are, Mid Coast 2 Tops Landcare Connection is here to support you. There is no cost associated with starting a local Landcare group. |
